Wow! The New Year is started and Space
Coast Florida is ready to
go! Our first and foremost project this
year is having the honor of being the 2007-2008 Forum Host Chapter.
Our first project this year is
our 11th Annual Golf Tournament at Baytree National Golf Links. The scheduled date is November 9th,
and we are really looking forward to another successful tournament.
Next up will be our December City
of Melbourne Light Parade and we are looking forward to a new and exciting idea
for that project.
In February, our Block Kids
contest is already looking to be one of the best ever. Our chapter is looking forward to new
sponsors and judges.
Plans for Forum are already in
the works, and everyone should look forward to finding that “The Treasures of
the Sea are Revealed!” In Indialantic,
Florida this May. More news and information will be sent out
soon.
This year’s theme is Education,
and we are all looking forward to trying to enhance our members’ knowledge by
offering another CIT or CDS course.
We are presently trying to find
grants that are available for our members to be able to take educational
courses that will advance their careers.
This year we would like our
membership to reach out to the ladies in the Construction Management program at
Florida Tech. These students would have
the opportunity to join our chapter or start a student chapter.
Another goal is to try and
increase our membership and encourage gathering fresh and new ideas for our
chapter.
Our entire membership is looking
forward to Las Vegas for Annual
Meeting 2008!
We see a great year for 2007-2008
and look forward to working and playing with each and every member.
