This Certification consists

Introduction to Construction
Introduction to Construction covers the fundamentals of the
construction processes, procedures, and technology, providing the student with
an overview of the industry. The course covers such topics as city planning,
construction management, contracting, designing, estimating and inspections,
with a strong emphasis on construction terminology.

Construction Document Specialist - CDS (Certification)
Intermediate Construction, Construction Document Specialist,
covers: Drawings, Specifications, Estimating, and Scheduling, deals with
interpreting information conveyed from architects and engineers to contractors
by way of a legal document and implementing that fundamental understanding. It
discusses the many components of the legal agreement that binds the parties in a
construction project: working drawings, front-end documents of the Project
Manual, specifications, estimates, proposals and schedules.

Construction Industry Technician - CIT (Certification)
In its effort to focus on the goal of providing
the most up to date educational opportunities, NAWIC Education Foundation has
developed the CIT Program, Construction Industry Technician, which incorporated
the latest changes in the Industry. The Construction Industry Technician
represents an overview of the construction industry and its processes. Lessons
to be covered include such subjects as type of construction, forms of business
ownership, contractual arrangements, contract documents, and the construction
process.
