I would like to extend a heartfelt
Thank you to the members of NAWIC Tallahassee #72 for the honor of serving as your Chapter President for this coming year. I know that together we can build upon the strengths of our history, and pave new paths for the future.
This year we will
Enhance the professionalism and skills of our members through educational opportunities such as CBT (Construction Bookkeeping Technician) and CIT (Construction Industry Technician) classes, sharing the knowledge obtained at Regional and National meetings, and enhancing our team integration skills while putting together the 50th Annual Forum for Region 3.
We will also
Enhance the knowledge and prestige of NAWIC in the Capital Region. Our first step towards that goal was through participation in the local “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk
on October 23rd in partnership with the American Cancer Society (www.putonyourpinkbra.com/leon<
http://www.putonyourpinkbra.com/leon>), which was also an opportunity to reach out to other women in the construction industry and share the spirit of our organization with them. We plan to follow that with Block Kids in late January or early February, WIC Week in March, and of course the Capstone of hosting the 50th Annual Region 3 Forum in May 2012.
Thank you for being a part of this journey, and remember the conventional wisdom that the more you invest the more you will reap in return.
